Suitcases are all packed up for DragonCon. Not enough time to start a real painting. So I dug up some scraps where I had painted some base texture on, a while back, and started just doodling with pencil, ink, paint, whatever. Waking up at 5AM tomorrow morning to head out!

Those are fantastic. I also immediate though how useful this idea could be when you're drawing a blank for ideas. Look at the textured paper and start drawing what you see in it, like the game of spotting shapes in clouds.
